MY STORY
Around four decades ago, there was a young girl, who was a fussy eater but loved the art of food. She hated eating fruits and nuts but was fascinated by the science behind kneading, rolling, resting and presenting various types of food. Born into the family of Delhi Mathurs, it was easy for her, to experience large gatherings, celebrations, which pretty much revolved around food. Being born in the lovely land of Patiala, Punjab, food and cooking were in my blood. Amidst the crazy timetable and hectic labs at college, I somehow managed to closely observe the hardworking, creative and food enthusiastic couple, my mom and dad, who used to come up with some amazing food every day!
The techniques and the science behind food stayed in mind but it found its path only when I met my prince charming, 17 years ago, who is a foodie! I always believed that a way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, but I differ now. I believe that food has the ability to bring out smiles for EVERYONE! Good food can make tears turn into laughter, gloominess into smiles and bitterness into sweet love.
And then our daughter came into our lives, who makes our world more beautiful, complete and full of hearty moments of which baking was an important part.
My home is full of warmth and smiles amidst the smell of vanilla beans and chocolate glaze :)
